ON-SITE CHALLENGES

One of the biggest challenges Conbit faced was ensuring effective and consistent communication throughout. Because of the multiple nationalities present on-site, it was essential that all communication was prepared in advance, team members were available and briefed ahead of the operations.

TENSIONING OPERATION

Conbit provided some of the specialist equipment and man power, working alongside local Mammoet team members.

The guy wire tension varied from 36.3kN for the bottom to 147.3kN for the top wire. Conbit provided the inspection, tension measurement and re-tensioning of all guy wires, supplying a tension record list to the client upon completion.

MAMMOET COLLABORATION

This was part of a much larger project, where Mammoet was working on the international transportation of slug catchers from Spain to the site in Saudi Arabia. Drawing on Mammoet's in-house expertise, Conbit worked alongside a local team leader and crew for project efficiency.

This project demonstrates the two businesses’ specialisms in heavy transportation and logistics, combined with specialist knowledge of guy wire inspections and maintenance.
